The Centre d’implantologie dentaire de Québec (CIDQ) was founded in 1992 by Dr Yvan Fortin, B. Sc., DMD - General Dentist. The Centre’s mission is to allow partially or completely edentulous patients to eat and smile with confidence by installing dental implants using the safest, least invasive technique available.

The Centre specializes in implant-based treatments:

• Surgery phase: Implant installation and bone grafts  
• Prosthetic phase: Implant-supported dental restoration

The Centre is outfitted with cutting-edge equipement and uses only implants that are recognized by the international dental community. In addition, our specially trained, experienced clinical staff observe the strictest standards of sterility at each step of the treatment. Consultations are free. You will only be billed for the X-ray.

We work exclusively with dentists

Over 250 dentists refer their patients to the Centre. They either entrust Dr. Fortin with the entire treatment or they ask him to prepare the surgical and/or periodontal parts of the treatment while they take care of the prosthetic part. Dr. Fortin’s 18 years of experience in dental implantology enable him to offer highly appreciated prosthodontic technical support to dentists.

He also actively collaborates with researchers in the development of surgical and prosthetic techniques in order to continuously improve the quality of patient services and care.

We only use bone grafts in certain special cases where there are no viable alternatives. However, over the years we have developed many ways of avoiding bone grafts, while still providing a result that is just as promising.

Dr. Fortin is one of the leaders in implant restorations without bone grafts and regularly gives presentations on this topic at a number of international academies and symposiums.
